It looks like it should be. It would be more helpful in the future if you posted the exact model of motherboard that you are looking at. But yes you should be good to go.

that is a sandy bridge CPU. while it may work, without knowing more about the motherboard like what chip set it has and if it is an Intel branded motherboard its hard to tell if it is and if so if it would need a BIOS update or not
