Question Is my CPU damaged?

Hi,

So I made silly mistake when transfering a CPU from one motherboard to another, The machine I was taking the CPU out of, still had the power cable plugged into the power supply and the powersupply switch was in an ON state (The Computer was OFF though). I forgot to switch the power supply off (whcih I normally do). When I took out the CPU I heard a bit of a sratchy noise, however didnt think much off it, I moved the CPU into the new motherboard and tried booting it but no post, I moved the CPU back into the original PC and tried booting it however no post as well. The PC was working before this and now everything is back in it's original configuration however theres no display. Could taking out the CPU while the powersupply switch was on, damage the CPU?

CPU 9600K
MB Asus Prime H310M-K R2.0

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

Check cpu socket for bent/broken pins.

Thank you for the response, I did check the socket everything looks fine. The PC turns on however theres no display, I even tried with an external GPU still no display
