Is my CPU dead?? | Help

My CPU seems to be dead. My GPU, Motherboard, Fans, And hard drives ALL stay on under one condition. That being I dont have my CPU power plugged in. When I unplug it and leave my 24 pin in, the pc boots [all the hardware spins up but i dont get an os or bios] without it stopping. DO you think my cpu is dead?

remove the CPU. take out the CPU and try to boot the system. only proceed if you have extra thermal compound available. if the CPU is good you will need to clean the old and reapply thermal interface material.
if the system acts the same with no CPU as it does with the CPU, the CPU is dead.
are you getting any diagnostic beeps? do you have the speaker connected?

no beeps. i will try removing the cpu

Thanks, I removed the CPU and booted. The system was acting the same. SO now I know the cpu is dead.
