CPU dead?

MBD: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk
CPU: Ryzen 9 7950X3D
GPU: RTX 4090
RAM: 64GB DDR5
PSU: 1000w PSU

Was using PC when all of a sudden I heard a pop or click and display went black. RGB and fans were still on looked at debug lights ram solid yellow cpu red went to turn off PC and power button wasn’t working to turn off. Shut off via PSU and attempted to turn back on, power switch will turn PC on same debug lights yellow ram and red cpu again power button won’t turn off. No bios display no POST

Went to best buy got a new PSU and mobo swapped everything out left out 4090 and still no display or POST or bios no debug lights on new mobo and still power button turns on PC but unable to hold it down to turn off or use reset button. Tested both ram sticks individually same thing everything I’m reading and what I’ve done is pointing to CPU looking for any other advice or confirmation that it’s dead 🙁

Solution
Look at the cpu and try to find any signs of a violent explosion.

A poping sound frequently is an exploding capacitor - usually in power supply, but there are capacitors on the motherboard also.
