Is My CPU Dead?

My computer randomly shut off while doing some work. Before it shut off I noticed a weird smell kinda like burning. And now will not boot with a display. Can’t get into bios. Does power on. CPU LED is on. Already tried resetting cmos.

Mobo. Asus sabertooth 990fx

Psu. Antec 700w

CPU. Amd Fx 9590

Gpu nividia 1070

I would think your power supply has been damaged, or your motherboard has been damaged.

for the most part its pretty hard to kill a CPU, although the FX9000 series are kinda weird.

look at your motherboard for any capacitors that have burst, see if you can figure out where the burning smell is coming from.
