Question Is my CPU dying?

Hello, I'm having some trouble with my CPU.

It's relatively new, I got it this past Black Friday.

5 days ago I got a new PSU and GFX card and the system worked as expected until now. After I did a fresh restart earlier today I launched WZ2 and noticed that I was getting about 50 percent of the frames I usually get, from 160-200 to 80-100.

My PC:

There is no OC, everything is stock.

My results from WZ2 benchmark 4 days ago:

Then today after the restart:

I had HWmonitor running on the side for the second benchmark.

Is that too hot? If I'm thermal throttling why would it happen today and not at any other point in the 3-4 months since I've put it in?

Let me know if there is other information I can provide that might shed some more light on the situation.

Thanks for any help you can provide

There doesn't appear to be anything unusual and it's still struggling.

I noticed that 4-5 days ago my CPU timing was at 3-5ms for the first benchmark and now it's up at 6-10ms. I don't know if that is indicative of anything.

EDIT: I just noticed that during the benchmark the value for the cores ranges from 3.1 to 3.9 but I believe they should be boosted to 4.5 during gameplay.

I wouldn't say, it's killing the CPU but it's definitely very hot. It might explain the lower frame rate. Not sure about this particular CPU but rule of thumb is above ninety is too hot, even occasionally.

Maybe the GPU is taking up so much space, that the airflow is decreased.
