Is my CPU fried?

I replaced my psu and it fried my motherboard ending with a loud pop. so I bought a new one. I installed it, attached ALL the wires correctly, I double checked. I removed everything but the CPU on the mobo and it won't even post or turn on. And btw my PC doesn't have speakers, and I don't have a spare computer. IVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR ANSWERS I'm just so desperate right now. When my psu fried the mobo I'm thinking the CPU died as well? The psu still works fine I tested it. Any ideas?

Build: gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB-3 mobo
Nvidia geforce gtx 760 SC GPU
amd fx 4300 pcu.

The PSU probably damaged other components.

Oh and btw I did the paper clip thing, the hdd works, what could be possibly damaged?

The psu is an evga bronze 700 watt.
