Is my Cpu or motherboard dead?

I have a Asrock b85 pro 4 motherboard and an I5 4690k. I wanted to overclock so it wold keep up with my gtx 1080. when I tried ocing it, it just died and wouldn't turn on. so I manually reset the motherboard and all seemed well. But my computer has crashed twice now (once was a blue screen and the other time it just seemed to restart for no reason both times happened while I was gaming). Did i blow my motherboard or cpu? Or is it something else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You tried overclocking with a 'b' motherboard, and you paid the price for it ;(
Overclocking is supported only on 'z' boards

start with the simple stuff. reset the bios to default and make sure it updated. run memtest from a usb stick over night and run the intel cpu test to check the cpu. download hardware info. set it to sensor and logging. check your temps and voltages. the issue right now it trying to find the part that failing and replace it. what the model of your power supply and it wattage??
