Is my CPU too hot for gaming??

Ok so I bought a MSI GE62 Apache pro just a couple days ago and when I play games on high settings, I get temperatures mid 70's low 80's is this too much on the cpu? the GPU usually stays around 60 degrees..

It is really on the boundary. I personally wouldn't be comfortable with 80s and you shouldn't really be either as it can lower the life of the CPU.

What kind of cooling have you got going?

your temps are fine.such temps while gaming should be expected! i wouldnt worry! it is a laptop afterall, you cant just compare your temps with desktop cpu or gpu.!

good cooling solution for a laptop, as you can see.

i dont, however mobile core 4th gen i7 Tj max is 100c . start worrying if cpu temp climbs over 90c! as for the gpu 60c its just awesome! you can use a laptop pad or something to help temps remain as low as possible!
