Is my CPU under-performing? (Low Cinebench score)

I recently bought a pre-built PC with mostly second hand equipment. I don't use my PC for gaming or any high end tasks. The most I use it for is a daily workstation, to record/stream from my console and some video editing.

I used to be able to stream in 1080p 60fps and record at the same time from my console, now I can't even stream at 720p 60fps without getting pixelation, and I've noticed a dip in performance overall.

I've had the rig for about 5 months now and noticed this problem over a month ago, I've tried re-installing windows, reseating my cmos, loading defaults in BIOS. Nothing I've seen online seems to help my problem. I've done some benchmarking on my CPU and looked at some videos of others dping it and mine is much lower.

Solution


According to Intel, 70°C is the maximum temperature allowed at the processor Integrated Heat Spreader.
You need to bring the that temperature down and keep it below 65°C
Even though most computers components have fail-safe in place to prevent permanent damage, overheating shorten parts life span and you are risking damaging your PC components.

Those be BAD temps. Validate the Heat-sink is properly installed with the right amount of thermal paste. Validate the fan is actually blowing.
 


According to Intel, 70°C is the maximum temperature allowed at the processor Integrated Heat Spreader.
You need to bring the that temperature down and keep it below 65°C
Even though most computers components have fail-safe in place to prevent permanent damage, overheating shorten parts life span and you are risking damaging your PC components.

My i5 3470 hit 1000 and some other numbers i cant recall of the top of my head on r20 multi core. And a 250 on single core. I use it for mild gaming mainly forza horizon 3 and world of warcraft. But i douht it could handle streaming and gaming like i want to get into. I was wondering if that was a good number or a bad one. Because i had an aggresive 3.8ghz on an i7 870 and only got a score of 1152 multi core. But when i attempted to record i got alotta studder.
