[SOLVED] Is my current 650watt PSU capable of my upgrade choice?

I have a EVGA GQ 650 PSU. It is serving me well right now. It is running a i54690k, GTX 1080, DDR3 16GB RAM, and 4 case fans, with a PC MATE Z97.

Will this same PSU run a Asus Prime X470 Pro Motherboard, Ryzen 5 2600x, GTX 1080, 3000MHz of DDR4 ram two 8gb sticks, liquid cooler radiator for CPU, and a significant number of 120mm case fans, probably about 10 of them?

Or should I be upgrading to a 800watt psu?

Your current PSU is sufficient to power your new config. It is not a "must upgrade" item.

So at what point is going beyond 650watts really even necessary? Is it for folks who SLI mainly?

Some high end GPUs and multi-GPU configs need stronger PSUs, from a typical user perspective.
