Hi,

I have assembled my first custom computer. Because it was my first one that I built from scratch, I would like someone to take a quick look at the parts, to see if everything fits together.

Mother board: Asus Z87-C
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K Quad Core
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Graphics card cooler: Asus GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II OC
RAM: Corsair CMY16GX3M2A1866C9 Vengeance Pro Series 16GB
Harddrive: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB
Wireless adapter: TP-Link TL-WN781ND
Power supply: Be Quiet! CM BQT E9-CM-680W
Computer case: Zalman Z9 Plus Midi Tower Case

My biggest concerns are:
Does everything fit into the case?
Is power supply powerful enough?
And does power supply cables match with the rest of the hardware?

Otherwise, I tried to build a setup that can handle a lot of powerful programs, without slowing down the machine. I will use it mostly for programming and I tend to have a lot of programs open at the same time.
It was also meant to be a silent as possible.

Thanks for the input :)

Thank you for your answer.

i5 4670k was my second choice. I gave it a better look and I guess your choice for i5 4670k is simply because Hyper-Threading technology is not worth the £75? Am I correct? I think it is good idea to switch to i5 4670k.

Do you think I can get a better graphics card for the same price?
As the graphics is not that important as I won't be playing games. Also the silence is important about the Graphics Card to me.

Yes, for a similar price or a little more expensive a AMD R9 270X is a good choice.
Try this one: http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-gigabyte-radeon-r9-270x-oc-28nm-5600mhz-gddr5-gpu-1050mhz-boost-1100mhz-1280-streams-displayport

It says that AMD R9 270X is 297mm long and there is only space for 290mm graphics card in the case. So that won't fit.

I'll change it, try this one:

Also the Hyper 212 EVO is for the CPU, not GPU.

That one is indeed more bang for the buck and can fit in the case.

Correct Hyper 212 EVO is for CPU. It was just me who mistyped it. :)
