Is My e Machine ugradable??

I have an eMachine ET1331G 03w and I was wondering what would happen if I upgraded the HDD and/or CPU, would this prolong my computers life? would it be able to run newer programs?? I am not much of a gamer I use it mostly for office/graduate work and I am looking to boost its performance. any suggestions?

also if you were going to upgrade this Machine what would you upgrade to provide better performance?

An emachine isn't worth upgrading , save towards a new build.
