Is my external Hard Drive infected?

I keep an External for after formatting to quickly re installed the important files.

After formatting, I tried to install utorrent from my external to the fresh windows 7.

Utorrent made a parasitic move to create a second Terms of Service but this time it was to install the so called antivirus <Adaware> which after researching is mostly a malware program that does nasty stuff, making a file on desktop, and replacing my search engines on every browser with the same company search engine.

I then reformatted again, but the question is, since I installed it on the C: drive, is by any chance my External Drive infected as well? Or was it spared from the damage?

With a virus, any and all connected drives might be infected.

Redownload utorrent from www.utorrent.com

Delete the old executable you have.

Use your antivirus program to scan your external hard drive for threats.
