is my first build ok?

Is it good? Compatible? Would u change anything? I have a max of 700 for this build.

hmmm, i would change ram to 2x4GB to take advantage of dual channel memory support. i would also add a cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo to allow for overclocking. you can also change the gpu to the GTX 760 which will basically run most games max @ 1080p

The 270x and gtx 760 are quite similar in performance and the 760 is more, so I recommend you stick with the 270x. The only thing I would change, and as mentioned, is to go with a 2*4 gb kit for dual channel. Other than that, everything looks fine

And yeah, add a cooler as those stock AMD coolers are crap even without overclocking

The gtx 760 is a lot better than the r9 280x.

r9 270x = 7870
Gtx 760 = 7950

I wont say its better as the 270x and 760 offer similar performance but the 270x is cheaper, so you actually added on costs. Swap the gtx 760 for the 270x and it will be fine

No way on earth is that true. The 280x is way better than the 760
gtx 760 = r9 270x

he meant the r9-270X and the 760 does not equal the 270X its a bit above

I didn't say that the gtx 760 is better than the R9 280x/ 7970 I said it was better than the 7870.
