Is my Game Boy Advance SP Authentic... Or a Fake?

Hi, I just bought a Game Boy Advance SP (AGS-101) the other day for 45 dollars at a retro store called Game Hoard. It's been working great, but I'm getting worried that it could be a fake. I could be (and hopefully am) wrong, but if you could please just analyze the photo's in the link below (Flickr) and tell me what you think, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Note: The battery light is a little more yellow in real life than in the picture. Although, I'm not sure if that could help in knowing if the handheld's a fake or not.

If I may ask.. why does it matter? I'm not being rude, I'm curious. If it's working & plays the games you like, isn't that what matters? Do people even make fake Game Boys? Are they worth a lot of money or something? I just want to know, honestly lol

I agree with the above user. I do not think I have ever heard of a fake Gameboy Advance.

You are more likely to come across fake games than a system and with the age of the system I do not think you will unless you shop some pretty shady places.

If it was fake it wouldn't play GBA games.

You can tell if an it's fake if it boots to some weird menu with no game inserted.

Furthermore, on a fake Gameboy:
- Link cable won't work
- Genuine cartridges won't work
- Some flash carts won't work
- The screen ratio is different from an original console (this implies stretch to fit, and it looks kinda bad)

Well, I much, much, MUCH prefer to own and to be playing with a legit product, than with some cheap wannabe. I want be playing on a console I know is truly a Nintendo product. Also, I didn't get this thing for 5 bucks, or than it'd be a little different. I paid about $50 for it, and if it's a fake, to me, personally, I find it pretty much useless. But, I've forgotten about the whole "fake" thing recently, which is good. And I think I had come up with the conclusion that it's legit, or so I hope. That's the best I can do, I suppose.

(from your photos) it is a genuine sp, there are fakes but they're named things like 'game kid'
