Dual channel memory only works in dual mode when it is installed in pairs on the MOBO. Also, some versions of windows will only except 16 gigs of ram. You must use windows pro or ultimate to get above 16 gigs of ram.

If you have a large need for RAM, only purchase 2x8GB sticks for now so they can run in Dual Channel mode. You will have more memory bandwidth this way, and you don't need 32GB of RAM unless you're doing heavy workstation rendering.

**Also, purchase a graphics card with a custom cooler attached to it, preferably one with two larger fans. Larger fans need to spin slower to create the same airflow as small fans, so you get less noise.

You probably won't feel the difference, but just make sure, if you go with one stick now, you get the same ram in the future with the same timings. Dual channel kits are all tested together to make sure they work together.
