Locate the latest version of the BIOS for that motherboard here and install it. Might make it work. Some late model graphics cards don't quite work out of the box with older motherboards.

They were right in telling you that the memory on the graphics card has to relation to the motherboard.

thanks for you quick replies ok by the looks of the power supply it is a 550w point atx 12v pt550br hope this helps

with regards pci slot its plugged in to a yellow slot i presume its pci express 16

I'm going to presume that you meant to have a 'no' in there

and is it possible to use same processor ? and need to use my 750 ti graphics card

Foxconn provides instructions on that very page. If you click [BIOS], then [view details] you will see all the available BIOS versions and instructions for installing it.

The issue with a replacement board is that any board old enough to use DDR2 might have the exact same problem. To get a guaranteed compatibility would involve getting a new processor, board, and memory. Finding an AM2 board might be costly as well.

I highly suggest trying out the BIOS update if you haven't.

Hi again ok i replaced power supply and its not that now have an 850w dont mind as im upgrading as i go.i still have the clicking noises so no change with problem .ok i down loaded the bios for possible ps unit problem for a start and i just cannot open dam thing with rar or winzip i think its becasue its 32bit and im running 64bit does that sound correct???

You don't need to open the raw BIOS file. This is not something you even handle in Windows, and 32bit or 64bit won't have anything to do with decompressing something.

The BIOS will have a section for updating, just provide the BIOS file on some form of removable media (ie a USB drive, floppy disk, CD-ROM, etc)
