I have an AMD R290x, which i have had for about 4 years.
A month or two ago i noticed that my temps in game were getting up to 95c, so i thought id replace the thermal paste.
This worked, and i had a temp drop of 20c! I was very happy.
However, whenever i run any total war game, it will run for a bit then i get these blue/red diagonal lines on my screen and it crashes.
I thought this was a bug with total war but ive had it watching youtube a couple of times.
I figured i might have applied too much thermal paste so today i opened it up and replaced it with a little less thermal paste.
Now when i boot it up i just have these permanent lines across my display (see pic)
Have i trashed my GFX card? Or is it a thermal conductivity problem which can be rectified?
