Is my GPU botllenecked?

Currently, I have a GTX 770 graphics card and a i5 4670k cpu. When I play a game like over watch, my GPU load is 99%. Does this mean it is "bottlenecked"? Also, I'm considering upgrading to a GTX 1070 and keeping the i5 4670k, would this set up be enough to run big games such as battlefield 1? Or is upgrading the CPU necessary as well to run a game like that?

Solution
From what I've read the 1070 will not bottleneck an i5-4670k. I've also read that it's very similar in performance to the GTX980ti which is what I have and while gaming my CPU hits about 98% and my GPU is about 99-100%. Basically what I'm saying is that you should have no issues whatsoever with running a 1070 with your i5.
This means your GPU is maxed out, not bottlenecked. Bottlenecked would mean your GPU is not fully loaded while your CPU is maxed out. It seems your CPU is feeding your GPU as much as it can take.

Yes, you are being bottle-necked by the GPU. The primary reason for that though is because OverWatch relies so much on it. Other games shouldn't be as bad.

The GTX 1070 and your current CPU would compliment each other very well. You do not need to upgrade the CPU right now. Battlefield 1 will run just fine when you get a 1070.

How about for games like Battlefield? I would like to run high graphics setting when playing that because the graphics are amazing on that game. Unfortunately I am currently running the game on medium settings because I cant go up any higher without experiencing some lagging. Would the GTX 1070 plus the i5-4670k be able to run big games like battlefield on higher graphic settings?

The minimum requirements for Battlefield 1 is an i5-6600k, but I believe that you should be fine, especially if you are overclocked a little. The recommended video card requirement is a 1060, so the 1070 is more than enough. Overall I think you'll be perfectly fine with the 4670k and a 1070.

how do you overclock the CPU? Is it recommended to do this??

I would try to find a video or tutorial online that talks about your specific motherboard. If you don't know what you are doing, it could mess up your system. Some motherboards have options in BIOS to do an "automatic overclock" which is the quick and easy, but I don't think they all do and some don't do it well. Do some research, read your motherboard manual and then when you try it, go small amounts, don't go for massive overclocks right off the bat.

okay, last question, how will i know when it is time to overclock my CPU?

Basically if you believe you need/want more performance without spending more money on new hardware. If you do overclock, make sure you have something better than a stock Intel cooler otherwise your CPU will overheat and begin to thermal throttle (slow down when gets to hot). You "should" be able to easily get up to 4.4ghz if not up to 4.6ghz with a good CPU heatsink/fan.
