Is my GPU dead?

Is my GPU dead? While playing CS:GO today, I got a black screen. I restarted my computer and tried it again but the problem still occurred. I then opened up Warframe, thinking it was just in CS:GO, but it got a white screen after a few minutes. I did what I did with CS:GO and restarted my computer but I got a black screen. I also tried Shadow of Mordor and got the same result. The screen has vertical lines.

My computer's specs are:
i5 4670k @ 4.0 GHz
MSI R9 270X
Kingston V300 120 GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 2 TB HDD
GIGABYTE Z87-HD3
Corsair Vengeance RAM @ 1866 (overclocked it)
CX750 power supply
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Windows 8 64-bit

Note: I meant I got a black screen after a few minutes of Warframe, not starting up the PC. There was a POST.

can your games work off your onboard video to see if monitor or videocard issue?

I cannot find it under Display Adapters to enable the onboard graphics.

I tried cleaning my card but the problem still occurred.

pull the msi card out to use the onboard video.

I set my initial display output as my onboard graphics and enabled it. The GPU was failing. I have replaced it.
