Is my GPU dead?

Hello everyone,

Let me explain the situation.
A week ago, when I tried to turn on my pc something must have gone wrong since the fuse popped when trying to turn it on.
After opening op the computer and trying some stuff I figured that the power supply had died and that it had to be replaced.

I took out the graphics card (a gtx 560, and yes I know it is outdated, but I do not have the money to buy a new pc, and my pc does not allow changing gpu's). I had to take it out in order to remove the power supply. The power supply was a 450W one, provided with the computer. I replaced it with a cooler master 600W (which I kindly got from a friend).
I connected everything and it seemed to work fine, until I tried to launch a game. Every time I launched a game the computer turned black and gave me the motherboard beeps (long short short) which (I read) means that there is no gpu to be found.
So I reinstalled all the drivers, which didn't work. I then replaced the cable that was in between the gpu and the power supply. I now was finally able to play a game, but not for long, 5 minutes into playing and the same thing happened. the screen turned black, beeping started again and had to force turn off the pc since it no longer responded.

Note that the game I tried to play, I was able to run fine before.

I was wondering if anyone might know what the problem is and if I can actually fix it or if my only option is to buy a new pc. Because, although I really want to, I just don't have the money at the moment.

HWInfo (couldnt upload to imgur for some reason so chose something similar):

I did some extra tests taking some more HWInfo screens of the gpu as I started a game. I actually got to play for a few minutes again before it died. Looking at the information I am starting to think that the fan of the power supply might be producing to much heat or concentrate the heat too much toward the GPU. However, that shouldn't cause the screen to go black and the beeps right?

Thanks in advance,
Shandor

Same thing happened to me last month fuse popped and changed my power cable and turned it back on and my PSU went bang but it did not damage any off my stuff apart from the motherboard was effected took out two ram pci connectors thing because everytime plug my ram into them did not work. There might be an chance that your GPU might be effected would try putting it into another pci slot but I would test your GPU on your friends or family or someone you know computer because PSU can do damage to your components depends on the quality off the PSU

"PSU can do damage to your components depends on the quality off the PSU" Yeah I've read about this on the forum :/.
And the crappy thing is, that I only have one PCI x16 slot, therefore I cannot try it in a different slot. I might be able to test it in my friends pc if he lets me. That is however a big if, since it might be the cause of my pc breaking down, I dont know how willing he would be to have me put that gpu in his pc.

Thanks for the response! I am gonna try this over the coming week if possible and will report back when I find any results. In case any one else has a different conclusion/idea please let me know. I'm desperate to find a solution :(

GPU wont make damage to your friends computer it will tell you if the gpu is working or not but maybe its just your motherboard pci connector damage but its best to know if it was the gpu thats making the black screen and beeps on motherboard
