Question Is my GPU dead?

I was gaming and i got a black screen. I smelled burning plastic from my psu and i turned it off immediatly. My 8pin molex connector for my gpu had melted wires and I dont know if my GPU died.

Only way you'll know is testing. 8-pin molex connectors are very, very rarely recommended; generally speaking, the number of PSUs that both are missing 6+2 pin connectors and are PSUs on which you want to be running a GPU that requires a 6+2 pin connector is just about zero. I wouldn't recommend trying anything else in this PC without knowing your exact specs, especially exact power supply.
