Question is my gpu dead?

i recently changed my gpu
xfx r7800 series- 7870 2gb
first time it booted perfectly, I installed drivers and it was all perfect
then, when I opened pubg, screen went black and it stayed like that, so i restarted the pc
but the problem is even bigger because pc wont power on anymore when gpu is connected, without gpu everything works just fine
I think that there was a short circuit on the gpu because i saw some sparks, so the question is, is my gpu dead, can it be fixed?

That's not a good start, it really does sound like it's fried. May I ask where the sparks were?

psu- fractal design 450w integra i think its 80+ bronze

right on top of the gpu, near 8pin connector
