So I started having this problem with my computer and it has started happening more frequently. Literally during anything I am doing, my computer screens will go black and whatever sounds was coming out will just be stuck. I have to hold down the power button and hard reset my computer, it turns back on and everything is fine. Could this be the GPU? I have a VEGA 64 with a GPU meter on the card that always spikes up to max when this happens.

Have you checked for updated drivers for all your components?
Have you run a full virus scan, then a chkdsk /f, then a sfc /scannow?

Try booting from a Linux live USB and using that for a while (browse the web and open some apps) to see if it also freezes in that environment.
