Question Is my GPU dying?

Hello everyone, so over the past 2 weeks or so my PC has randomly started hard crashing and restarting itself. It seems to only happen when I'm playing games but the screen goes black with a few areas of the screen still lit up with pixelated colors, then the computer restarts. The games it has happened in are Diablo IV and Valorant, both of which have had stability issues for me. In Diablo I have been victim to the Fenris error, and in Valorant I have been getting hard crashes where the game just closes with no dialogue box or anything. Both of these things happen randomly but the black screen crashes/restarts seem to only happen after I've been playing for an extended period of time. Any help would be appreciated I just don't know if I need to RMA my card or if it may be another issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you guys.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

EVGA is the brand of the PSU while 1000W is the advertised wattage of the unit, platinum is the advertised 80+ efficiency rating. What is the model of the unit?

You could try and make sure you use DDU to remove all GPU drivers from your platform, then manually reinstall the latest driver sourced from Nvidia's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

So after using DDU and reinstalling my drivers, got another hard PC crash after about 5 hours of gameplay. I went ahead and reinstalled my old 1080ti to rule out the GPU, and got another crash within about 2 hours. I ran the windows diagnostic on my RAM and it came up with nothing. My PSU is an EVGA Supernova 1000 P2 to answer your question. Thank you for your help.

The PSU is 10 years old. I use to own one. Maybe time to modernize.
