is my GPU failing ? or drivers ?

I had this problem since the day I upgraded to core i5 3470,

my gpu is : hd 5570

after day 1 of upgrading (yesterday), I opened my computer and it won't let me go to the log-in screen, keeps giving me BSOD, so I started on safe mode and uninstall the GPU driver, it finally
work, then I install the drivers (updated one).

same day, I installed windows 8.1 and got all my drivers to get installed again ... seems to be working fine until today, when I boot my computer it won't let me go to the log-in screen, just a blank screen and only the mouse pointer, and randomly (3-5 secs )flickers... nothing happens, then I decided to remove the GPU, thats where I finally accessed my PC. any help why ?

put your old cpu back in. if it works fine update the BIOS and reinstall the new cpu.

check all the wiring and cabling in the case to make sure they are securely attached. don't just look......... do it physically......... especially in the area of your hard drive.
