Question is my gpu finally dying (gtx 770)

hey guys so about a week ago i was playing world of Warcraft and my screen froze and looked like the picture i linked. i turned off the computer and restarted it and everything worked fine. today i was playing again and my screen froze and the same thing happen. i was reading online the little "space invader" like artifacts are a known symptom of a dying gpu just wanted to make sure thats what it looks like before i purchase a new one. and if i should worry about it being something else. thanks guys! forgot to mention when this happens it sounds like the gpu fans speed up then back down like it reset.

think i answered my own question it started to happen more frequently so i pulled out the gtx 770 and put in an old gpu i had and everything seems to be fine.

Question - Lots of "dying" 7xx series past two weeks

I see lots of posts about GTX 7xx series cards stopping over this two weeks. Mine 770 died too. Anyone knows anything about this? Maybe a Windows Update or Driver related common problem?
