Is my GPU fried?

So, here are my symptoms.

-Windows 7 themes gone black, completely messed up with patches of colour.
-Black squares appearing on certain parts of screen
-Screen blacking out frequently for 3-6 seconds. Error message "Display Driver has stopped but was successfully recovered shows up.
-Can't play games (Anymore), when I enter a game it sends me to desktop and freezes until I close the game via Task Mngr.

My GPU is about 1.5 years old. I also have the latest drivers.

Sounds more like a virus.

You didn't give enough information. Example.. if the GPU is over 10 years old... then there's a good chance it needs replacing. What happens when you enter Safe Mode? Any artifacts displaying there? If not, it could be driver corruption.

Try updating to the newest drivers and run a full system scan with a good antivirus. Check on the temps of the GPU to make sure they aren't too high.

It sounds more like some kind of corruption... either in your File System or in the driver itself. How old is your current Windows installation? Also, it's quite possible that the current driver you are using is causing problems. I've encountered a few AMD drivers that just wouldn't work properly on my system within the past year and I had to either install the previous version or use the Beta.

For best performance... Windows should be reinstalled every six months.
