650ti boost/660/7870 are the gpus to look at in that price range

At minimum get a 660. Anything less just isn't worth the time and money. Personally I'd save up a little more and get the 760. If I couldn't I'd get the 7870.

If your willing to add 50 extra dollars you can get a sweet gtx 760!
