Is My GPU Or My Motherboard Dead?

Hi, I decided to put my old GPU back in my PC, and when I turned it on, I connected the HDMI plug into the GPU, then, just a bunch of colorful pixels popped up, when I tried plugging the HDMI cable into the integrated graphics slot, everything was fine. Does this mean my mobo GPU slot is dead or is my GPU dead? My GPU requires no power from the PSU

more likely it's the GPU and not the slot. before you throw in the towel on the gpu, give the slot a blast of compressed air and try a different hdmi cable.

okay, thank you! I suspected the GPU to be dead as I had been touching it uncarrefully, anyways, I still have a better GPU coming soon, so it wont hurt to have integrated graphics for 2 days thanks😀
