I bought a MSI GTX 1080 on amazon for a friend the other week and whilst I was testing it in my rig I noticed it was getting hotter then usual.
I dissembled and cleaned and changed the thermal paste like anyone would, using the rubbing alcohol Ive always used, and like I always have, and before reassembly I noticed what appeared to be moisture or liquid trapped around the PCB bordering the Die on the GPU.
Now I have pictures and would love to share them but I'm unable to post them here apparently.
I tried letting it sit for days, using a hairdryer for extended periods of time to evaporate the moisture, I even stripped the card down and baked it in an oven at low heat for hours to no avail. I'm running out of options and could use some experienced help.
