Is my Gpu Temperature is Normal?

I wnt to knw is my gpu is acting normal or itz got something faulty. My GPU is Zotac GTX 770 AMP edition , the problem is wen the GPU is in idle it shows Temp 35 ~ 38 C and wen I play games like Lichdom Splintercell Blacklist Crysis 3 etc heavy Games like these it goes 70 , 75 , 80 , 84 ~ 85 at peek. Cn anyone tell me is it normal or my Gpu fan is not able to cool down the card. I hv tried to ask in other forums they say wen they play games like this it goes peek 65 ~ 70. So what to Do Plz help Me. M confused! Plzz help what to do?

There is nothing wrong with your temperatures, they are completely normal. Not everyone's system is the same and not everyone has great airflow in their case. You can't compare your result to what others are getting.

The key thing is that your fans are staying low. Most people seem to have a poor understanding of how Turbo Boost 2.0 works. If you check a utility like Afterburner, you'll see that there is setting for "Temp Limit". This is the temperature that your card targets for its normal operating temperature. Guess what? For the GTX 770 that temp is right around 80c (you can check yours to confirm). So your card will increase its Turbo Boost clock speed until it reaches that temperature. Fan speed is about 50 ~ 55% as shown on my screen in FPS OSD. So that means it is normal but sometimes wen I play lichdom the temperature goes high up 89C like I hv been playing it recently an hour ago. I ws scared that it will damage my card so I exited out the game. 🙁:??:

Hey... even I am having the same card as urs... check ur case ventilation and how is the airflow... also increase ur gpu fan speeds to about 90% when ur gpu hits around 78ºC... this will keep things under control or buy a new case having excellent air flow nd wire management (if ur case has tangled wires and all so manage them properly by cable ties and all)... plzz reply if helpful..

The cards maximum temperature is 98C. With your intense gaming session and having 84C is nowhere near to hitting 98C. You might gain 1~4 additional degrees over time (years), but thats' still 10 degrees off cards maximum temperature after which the card starts throttling or shuts down.
There's no reason to worry at all.

Hey even when i play crysis 3 the temps reach 82°C with the cpu also the same....but its okay 81°C is the normal temp for this card under load so 2-3°C wont be much a problem...

So your fans are not overcompensating for a hot card by running really, really fast. You have left out an important factor, which is your Turbo Boost clocks. I'm assuming they are minimal and you are running at regular stock speeds. So in terms of temperature, low to mid 80c's is completely exactly how the engineers designed it. If you want to increase your Turbo Boost clocks, then make sure you have good case ventilation and follow some of the advice others have given. Or you could just leave it alone.

You don't want a video card at 98 degrees lol. You don't want the GPU to go into the 90's period. Poor airflow may get you to 85 or so, but when you get to the 90's you need to fix something.
