Hey there,

I just bought the Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 4GB DDR5. I went for 4GB VRAM cause Watch Dogs's official web recently said the game often uses 3GB of VRAM when in High settings! So I went for 4 as I couldn't find a 3GB one!

So how well my GPU is? I really wanna know! Almost bought in a hurry!

My other rigs:
CPU: i7 4770k
MoBo: G1.Sniper Z87
Ram: 8GB Corsair Vegance 1600mhz
PSU: 850 watt
Resolution: 1920 x 1080p

I love to play games at High/Ultra!

But seeing the benchmarks its clear R9 290 does well in most games and almost near 780! but GTX 770 is way behind :( :(

Because herein my marketplace both prices the same, Shouldn't I change my card to R9 290 then?

It is up to you. If the R9 290 has the better cooling options (not the reference cooling) than the R9 290 might be better for you. The GTX 770 is still a good card, so don't feel like your missing out on a good card. I just mentioned that the R9 290 is a good option and if you prefer Nvidia than the GTX 770 is a good buy. If the GTX 780 was close in price to the 4 gb GTX 770, than I would have opted for the GTX 780, myself, but that is just me.

So you think I should return my current card (Bought yesterday) and Ask for the AMD R9 290? I think they will take back and Give me the R9 one right?

If they take back 770 and give you R9 290, that depends on their policy. No one here can give you exact answer. If you are that much into R9 290 then go for it. At the end it is your choice. You can't go wrong with either of these cards.

Regards,

If you feel inclined to do so. If you do turn the GTX 770 back to them, make sure that the R9 290 isn't a reference OEM cooling (THEY ARE CRAP). If you get Sapphire Tri-X, Asus Direct CUII, MSI Twin Frozr, Gigabyte Windforce.

Don't buy the R9 290 that looks like this:

14-131-544-TS

I'm really not that much into R9. If I were then I would have gone for it in the first place! What I'm concerned about is, My rig is completely for Gaming! So I wanna ask, If I keep my current GTX 770 4GB will it be a bad decision? Cause I love playing games in Ultra/High! As people saying R9 290 outperforms GTX 770! :(

P:S: The store I always buy from sells both of these cards in the same price!

I was opting for a Sapphire Tri-X. Is it good?

Yes, it is a good choice.
