Sometimes (every 3 or 4 days) my computer displays graphic artefacts on the screen while booting up or just after booting up. The artefacts usually disappear within 30 seconds.

What do you think is the most likely cause?

I have updated the graphics card driver and reseated both ends of the display cable, but the problem persist.

A cable/port issue would cause garbled lines. Vertical "bleeding" from bright/dark spots would be more in the bad LCD drivers or scaler issue department IMO.

Okay, I have changed the cable from HDMI to DisplayPort, which also means I have changed ports on both the graphics card and the monitor. Let's see how it goes.
