Hi I have a GTX 970 that I fried by accident. I started to smell something burning for like 2 weeks on and off and I stupidly ignored it. My computer display shut off randomly for like 2 weeks but my computer would still run, I would just restart and it worked fine afterwards. Anyways one day it just shut off and didn't turn back on. So I opened up the graphics card cleaned it and saw it kinda burned but said to myself its fine so I put it back only for it to release smoke. I opened it back up and noticed a R22 piece in my case and the burned mark. I wanna know if its possible to fix this? And if so what parts do I need? The r22 piece that I found looks fine and I think it can just solder back on but is there anything else I need? Can't afford a new graphics card right now and would rather try to fix it.

Here's an imagine of the graphics card

Solution
thats vrm...it got burnt when r22 fell off...repairing it wont be easy
technicaly u could just cut traces to it and use that free vrm area which u got
so it should be repairable...as long somethin else isnt shot aswell (like gpu die)
