is my GTX 660 a fake?

Hello! I just bought a nvidia geforce gtx 660 (3gb) at a local vendor, he said it's a "bulk" and that's why it's without wrapping/cables etc.

but it only scores about 1330 points in the 3d passmark benchmark and it's very slow in general. NVidia driver reports the card as gtx 660, too.

this is the gpu-z output:

thanks in advance!

i am pretty sure its a fake card as there is no GTX 660 with either 192 shaders or ddr3 memory. the overall pixel fillrate, texture fillrate and the total bandwidth is extremely low even lower than my radeon 7750. its a fake card. return the card and get your money back ASAP
Hello.
3GB DDR3??? GTX660? If this is real then something is completely wrong.
The DDR3 (if exists) clearly bottlenecks the GK106 chip with memory bandwith only 25,6GB/s. The normal (real) GTX660 has 2GB GDDR5 capable of 144.2GB/s.
Who build such a frankenstein card? :(
edit: also the core clock seems to be wierd too. The reference card has 980Mhz, so why this has 900?
edit2: 192 shaders instead of 960? hmmmm

The shader amount is wrong as a GTX660 has 960, a GT630 has 192.

I don't know the vendor, there's no info on the card, just an NVidia sticker.
I tried it in 2 different rigs:

1. msi 870a-g54/amd phenom II x4 945/4gb ram/500w psu
2. gigabyte mb/amd phenom II x4 955/8gb ram/600w psu

tried both with a gigabyte amd radeon hd 68xx and I get about 2800-3000 passmark points, so I'm sure those two systems are capable of running a gtx 660.

I think the card I bought is a relabeled gtx 550ti, gonna return it on Tuesday. meh :/

I didn't think of googlin it :D.
Yeah there are a few 550ti with 3GB DDR3 but they differ in memory clocks.

edit: I said about 550ti cause its the only card with 900Mhz core and 1800Mhz shader. It might be a GT6xx card but only as rebranded Fermi card due to the fact that has a connected double shader clock to core clock. edit2: and 192 cores and 192bit memory bus.

might be an oem card. I have a 660 out of my alienware x51 in another pc since I swapped in a 660 ti and gpuz used to show some odd results for it too. the oem cards came with 1.5 or 3 gb but there isn't too much other info about them.

never noticed it but perhaps it's there. right now it says unfollow and do not track. used to be able to select the red cross.

yeah, see it in an untracked thread. thank for pointing that out. probably would have taken me 8 or 9 years to notice that. lol

I'm still figuring stuff out myself and I had a go on the beta version!

gigs is not imporatant. no of shaders, texture fillrate, bandwidth etc are important which is very lowin case of OP's card. so its a fake. the fact it came without any packaging is only a confirmation
