Is my hard drive done for?

My Seagate 3TB drive which is a few years old stopped working and I have tried various ways to try and fix it but I think it's done. It shows up in BIOS and Device Manager but is showing only 128GB capacity and won't intialize in Disk Management because of I/O error. Seagate Seatools fails at the first hurdle by saying it can't access the drive and trying to access in Lucid Puppy doesnt show any of the hard drives at all. In some data recovery software that I have forgotten the name of it is reading as a bad disk.

Should I keep trying different live boot solutions or is it a physical error and therefore stuffed?

Try to retrieve a terminal log from the drive's serial diagnostic port.
