Is my hardware and operating system not fit for modern gaming?

These are my Hardware:

MSI H270 GAMING M3 XMP Enable
Intel Core i5-7600k Unlocked
Zotac GTX 1080 Mini 8GB
32GB Corsair Vengeance Ram LED Edition DDR4
2TB WD Blue ERZR and 1TB WD Blue EZEX
Corsair h100i cooler
750w EVGA PSU B-Edition

OS and Drivers:

Genuine Windows 10 Pro Edition Up To Date
GeForce Graphics Drivers Up To Date
Intel Drivers Up To Date
MSI bios and driver Up To Date

Problem:

Can't play games like Fortnite and Call of Duty WWII Multiplayer on Epic/Extra or High. For CODWWII running the game with low settings but no resolution change or FXAA turned off still doesn't allow me to run 60fps and above constantly or consistently. Fortnite at low settings with 100% 3d resolution and fps turned to unlimited sometimes with 120 fps lock doesn't give me 60fps consistently.

Your system is pretty much high end. Only thing missing is SSD.

Check temperatures of your system - cpu, gpu. If cpu is overheating, this would mean failed cpu cooler.
