Is my HD 7950 GPU dying !?

Can some one please give me an idea on what seems to be the problem with my GPU units. I attached few pictures to clarify .. Is it dying or is it a software issue ?

GPU crashes when I get to windows 8 safe mode... distorted picture on bios screen too. It barley can hold for a few minutes , temps are looking ok i think !?.

ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 mb
2x4g RAM m
HD Radeon 7950 gpu
850w Seasonic psu
AMD Fx series cpu
ssd samsung pro & hdd 1 tb WD

looks like it's dying. Have you tried a different slot? Has it been overclocked?

Yes. I tried plugging it into a different slot and it showed the same problem/results. Never overclocked before.

a while ago the GPU refused to load back after sleep mode and I saw a few strange flickers days ago and that was it.

I'm thinking about getting a new GPU card at the moment , should I be concerned if its a ram/cpu/mb issue. or is it obviously a GPU issue?
