Question Is my HDD dead? Any posssible ways to bring it back?

I tried to install my old PC HDD on my laptop and first it showed up on Disk Management in black colour marking as Unallocated partition.
It prompted to do a format and I did. But after that the partition is gone. When I refreshed Diskmanagement it's taking forever to load.
I tried on CMD too but my HDD won't show up. Whenever I plug it in, It shows unrecognized or maybe nothing but the sound is heard whenever I plug it in.
Is my HDD gone forever? Please help.

Yup, it's dead (nothing lasts for forever).

However, if the drive did contain personal data that you want to get, data recovery firms can get the data for you, but it isn't cheap.

Here, your best bet is getting new HDD. HDDs don't cost much though, e.g WD Blue 1TB is $45,
