Hi, i'm looking to upgrade my mobo/cpu/ram to an 1151 socket mobo so i can get the i7 8700k, but i'm not sure if my current cooler would fit the 1151 socket. This is the cooler that I have

Does anyone know if it will fit? also does anyone know where i can find the i7 8700k to buy? it doesn't seem to be in stock anywhere now but it was in stock on Amazon and Newegg just this morning for $414.

My current rig:
i7 3770k @4.2ghz
EVGA gtx 980 SC
16gb ram
MSI Z77A GD65 motherboard
Corsair 850w PSU
SSD

The link doesn't work for me. It's best if you picked up a cooler like a Cryorig H7 for as low as 30USD and be done with it. There are instances where the cooler's although they align with the H socket would add undue stress to the CPU socket.

FYI, I don't know the make and model of your cooler so I'm just flying blind.

it's the Corsair Hydro H70 (says it supports Socket LGA 1155, LGA 1366, LGA 2011,AM2, AM3, FM1). I would rather not spend any more money than i'm already having to pay so whether or not my heatssink fits is a dealbreaker and will determine whether or not i even upgrade at all, which is why i made this forum post to begin with.

If it's the H70 then you're good to go and as InvalidError was stating, the mounting holes around the socket have been like that since the 1st gen mainstream core i series of processors from Intel i.e the socket H mount.

do you happen to know if it will be easy to remove the backplate adhesive of the H70 off of my old mobo to put into the new one? i kinda already ordered everything and i'm waiting for it to ship, but im worried about the adhesive part
