I purchased this computer for my son for Christmas thinking the AMD quad-core A8-6410 processor with 8gb DDR3 and 2tb hard drive, AMD Radeon R5 graphics would be adequate. It's running Windows 8.1. Unfortunately his FPS was only about 15 which was worse than the other computer he was using. I have used computers a long time, had to switch out the motherboard in another computer 3 times before they replaced it for me, so I have quite a bit of computer experience, however, not so much with the new gaming technology. I can't really afford a gaming computer, so will this computer work? Do I need an upgraded graphics card, is it easy to switch out myself and would that be enough? I saw another thread talking about the GPU and power wasn't enough on a similar computer and I don't understand what that means or if it's worth it to modify or if I need to return it and start with a different computer. You response is greatly appreciated!

This has been solved. I researched your site for minimum gaming requirements and discovered the GPU wasn't adequate not was the graphics card so we returned it and got a Cyberpower GAmer ultra desktop AMD FX Series 8 gb memory 1 tb hard drive, and 2 gb dedicated graphics. Hope that's adequate! It arrives Jan 6. Thx!
