when i set my bios to default (vcore voltage set to auto) my CPU voltage goes to 1.376v.

Another person said to me that it should automatically be set to 1.20v and suggested that my CPU could be faulty.

But for now i have set my CPU voltage to 1.20v manually so i can enjoy games without my CPU over heating.

My CPU is not overclocked and i don't plan to overclock it in the future.

My system specs are here: http://valid.x86.fr/99kabc

My cooler is a: cooler master seidon 120v liquid cooler.

My max temp when playing games is 60 degrees Celsius and idle is 30 degrees. (with voltage set to 1.20v)

Is my Intel I7-6700k CPU faulty?

we already answred you question here...
Are you running with the latest version of the BIOS for your motherboard? If not I'd suggest you try flashing that first to see if it helps resolve the issue.

Looking at that screenshot you posted it reports your vcore being 1.184v which is quite good. Vcore for skylake can be a bit higher than previous versions like haswell or devil's canyon. Where safe vcore was usually around 1.3v or less, 1.35 to 1.4v isn't abnormal for skylake. Of course lower is preferred but anything under 1.35v would be ideal. The auto settings on the motherboard may be increasing certain aspects of performance if anything like 'performance' mode is selected in the bios.

your processor are OK, no problem with it.

Maybe your cooler are not doing its job.
My old water cooler had a problematic pump, replaced it for a new corsair h80i gt and im getting 45ºC while gamming.

do you have other cooler to test with your cpu?

Hey guys thanks for all the info. I didn't realise that you had answered my question on my other thread. That you for all the help!

Also I will be upgrading my case to the nzxt h440 and my PSU to a EVGA supernova g2 750w and my water cooler to a nzxt x61
Hopefully that will make my t
Temps a little better as well as my performance!

And I do feel like my water pump may not be working correctly because if I move the tubes around, I hear a wash sound. I thinking maybe it's just sitting there and not circulating properly.
