My laptop is a Dell inspiron 15 7000 with the following specs;

CPU: I7 6700HQ Quad Core @ 2.6Ghz
RAM : 8GB
GPU : GTX 960M 4GB

I was wondering if this laptop would be good enough to play games this year such as borderlands 3 or Destiny 2 , at any resolution or setting.
Also , is there / would there be any point in overclocking the GPU for increased performance?
Thanks in advance

I suggest you find the most demanding free to play game, load that on your laptop, then play it while watching the framerate. If it looks good that's a good sign, if even free to play games struggle then you know new AAA games will struggle. Also, keep an eye out for free trial weekends on Steam and the like, it's a chance to see for yourself how a AAA game will play on your laptop.
It would probably run most games, including Borderlands 3, by the look of it (no idea about Destiny 2), but I have no idea how well. That is all I feel confident saying. The 960m is getting a bit old now.
