Is my laptop hdmi 2.0 or 1.4

Hey guys! I have a Asus ROG GL552VW and I'm interested in updating my monitor to a higher refresh rate. Either 120hz or 144hz. I've been getting mixed reviews and I'm that hdmi 2.0 can do 144hz at 1080 and 1.4a can supposedly do 120hz at 1080p. I need to know if I could even do an hdmi to dvi situation. I would prefer to have a 144hz monitor but won't waste my money if I can only use 120hz.

HDMI does not support high refresh rates. The first High refresh rate HDMI is 2.1.
