I have a MSI NF750-G55 and when i try to install a new os on my computer the whole system just turns itself off after no more than 20 minutes i am currently running windows xp sp3 perfectly fine however i am assuming my mb is bad bc in the boot up when i have the option to choose what os to run i have the option of the past failed attempts which do not physically exist on any of my drives i have tried everything i can think of reseating ram, cpu, graphics, and psu i have also reset the mb by removing the battery my whole system itself is relatively new as i just built it in July. the only other thing that i can think of is my power supply being bad but as i stated earlier the system only crashes when i try to run an os other than win xp 32bit.
Please HELP!!

all this has been checked and everything is running nice and cool however after the pc shuts off i felt in the case and my board was giving off quite a decent amount of heat. However if the system itself was overheating wouldnt it crash no matter the os that is running? because it only crashes when i try to install an os or run something other than my xp drive. Thanks for the suggestions though!

Just an update and i thank you for your help but i ended up having to buy a new board as some part of mine had been damaged. i now have an asus m4n75td and am very pleased thanks again for the suggestions!
