Is my memory bad?

Not sure if this is a dumb question or not, but does my RAM suck? I have one 8GB stick of RAM. I just get the feeling that it's not very good, probably because it's by a company i've never heard of and reading what other people say.

Anyway, I ran CPU-Z and here are the readings of my RAM.

That picture doesn't speak much in terms of it's specs. Can you please pass on your full system's specs? list them like so:

If you can't post a pic of the ram stick, it'd be a good idea to pass on a link of it for us to see.

Its running at 1600mhz CL11, typical DDR3 speeds. The ram was more than likely manufactured by samsung or hynix, so I wouldn't really worry about who is distributing it.

My specs are;
CPU: Intel Quad Core i5-4960k @ 3.50 GHz
Motherboard: ASRock H81M-HDS
Ram: 1 stick of 8GB
HDD: 1GB HDD & 2GB HDD
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 4GB
PSU: Corsair VS650
OS: Windows 10 x64 Enterprise Edition

Hmm, you're right, I haven't heard of that brand but it is DDR3-1600MHz while you could actually get much better latencies for a DDR3-1600MHz stick of ram at that price point. On another note, if you have an i5-4690K why didn't you get a Z97 chipset motherboard? The potential of an unlocked K suffix processor part is lost on that H61 motherboard.

At some point of time, I'd ask you to change the PSU since it isn't what I'd like to keep in the system you've stated.

Not the best quality but not the worst either.

As long as you're not getting any errors on the ram, you're fine. If you plan on changing the motherboard, get a Z97 motherboard and in the process get a DDR3-2133MHz ram kit to bring out that sweet spot on your platform.
