You can go to the Asus site and select Memory Support List and see if that RAM of your choice is in there, but that doesn't mean if they "are not" that they are not compatible.
I am in the same boat with my new purchase as well! And I've been looking for 6 hours and no one answer has convinced me, thus, this site seems to be a safe bet someone out there knows some great info.
In the meantime; here is the link to that list; just look up your RAM speed and the processor you are going to use to see if it's there, sorry, I am new as well but hope this might help you!
