i was on my computer and it started acting up so i shut it down and let it rest and now when i turn it on it "freezes" on the screen saying what mobo i have(can go into bios settings from the screen). the issue im having is i cant even go into the bios and see if something is wrong because my keyboard isnt working(hence why i said "freezes") basicly what i want to know is whats wrong... is my mobo dead and do i need to send the comp back to be fixed

I have had similar symptoms before that were caused by the keyboard. In one case, it was simple, the usb plug had become a bit unseated, making the keyboard unresponsive. In another case, the keyboard went bad, and needed to be replaced. If you can, check out that scenario before assuming that your mobo is bad. Also check out all other connections to be certain that other spurious signals are not causing the problem.

i was thinking that it may have been the keyboard and i vaguely remember other computers not starting because of it having no keyboard but i didnt think about it too hard...i was gonna use my sisters keyboard but was to lazy to move the comp and unplug it....also if the usb is "unseated" will it not work until i fix it and is there a way to fix it

Perhaps your CPU is overheating? Check the heatsink and fan and make sure it's properly seated.Re-apply the thermal paste if necessary.Good luck.
